College of Charleston Joins MASB

MASB is honored to welcome College of Charleston as a member. The Business Research Guide ranks it 15th among the top 30 prominent business schools for global business and study abroad programs. The school’s mission is “to prepare socially responsible students for career opportunities around the world.”

Representing the school as a MASB advisor will be Robert Pitts, Professor of Marketing at the College of Charleston’s School of Business. He served as Dean of the School of Business July 2004 to June 2008. Prior to joining the College of Charleston, he served as Dean of the College of Business Administration at Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, for seven years. From 1985 until 1997, he served at DePaul University as Professor and Chair in the Department of Marketing and as Director of the Kellstadt Center for Marketing Analysis and Planning.

Dr. Pitts’ research has been referenced nearly 1,600 times in top journals in marketing and travel. He served as President of the Academic Council and Vice President of the Education Division of the American Marketing Association for 1999-2000.

Bob is a third degree black belt in the Japanese martial art of Aikido. He will be serving on the Sponsorship Accountability Metrics Project team.
