MASB Advisor since 2016, Kathryn Newton is Director, Marketing and Brand Strategy, for BrandingDocs Inc., where she provides research-informed brand strategy and consumer knowledge development consulting. She is also Director, Marketing Standards, at the International Institute of Marketing Professionals (IIRC) and sits on the Branding & Strategic Planning Council at the Canadian Marketing Association.
Kathy teaches brand management at the University of Toronto and speaks as a guest lecturer on brand and loyalty strategy. She has previously served in senior brand management roles at Kraft Nabisco, Bausch + Lomb, Pet Milk, GlaxoSmithKline, and PepsiCo (Frito-Lay).
She holds a DBA in marketing from the University of Toronto—Rotman School of Management/University of Reading—Henley Business School, an MSc in business and management research (Rotman/Henley), as well as an MBA in marketing from Concordia University and a BSc in psychology from the University of Toronto.
