Kathryn Newton

Kathryn Newton MASB Advisor since 2016, Kathryn Newton is a lecturer at Ryerson University where she teaches strategic brand management and new product management. Her academic research focuses on loyalty and consumer behavior.

She is also the principal strategist for BrandingDocs Inc., where she provides research-informed brand strategy and consumer knowledge development consulting. Kathy has served in senior brand management roles at Kraft Nabisco, Bausch + Lomb, Pet Milk, GlaxoSmithKline, and PepsiCo (Frito-Lay).

Kathy holds a DBA in Marketing from the University of Toronto—Rotman School of Management/University of Reading—Henley Business School, an MSc in Business and Management Research (Rotman/Henley), an MBA in Marketing from Concordia University and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Toronto.

She is a member of the Finance in Marketing Course Project team.
