David Reibstein

MASB Director 2010-2016 and Advisory Council member 2017-2021, David Reibstein is the William S. Woodside Professor and Professor of Marketing at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He was the Chair of the American Marketing Association (AMA) Board of Directors (2012– 2013), and previously served as Executive Director of the Marketing Science Institute.

Dave has authored or co-authored nine books, including Marketing Metrics: The Manager’s Guide to Measuring Marketing Performance, now in its fourth edition. He has authored dozens of articles in major marketing journals. Dave was featured in Fortune as one of the eight “favorite business school professors” and in Business Week as one of ten “business school professors to watch” (the only one in marketing). He has consulted for companies ranging from Fortune 500 firms to start-ups, including Google, GE, British Airways, and Royal Dutch Shell. He is the host of his own radio show Measured Thoughts with Dave Reibstein on SiriusXM Radio. He presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos on measuring the brand of a nation and its impact on the nation’s economy (2016).

He received his PhD at Purdue University, was in the MBA program at Tulane University, and obtained a BA and BS at the University of Kansas. He received an honorary master’s from the University of Pennsylvania.
