How can sports marketers use all of the new technologies to make informed decisions, drive marketing strategy, and cultivate brand loyalty? How is sports marketing success measured?
These and many other questions will be answered by the Sports Marketing Discussion Panel at MASB Spring Summit, Mar. 20-21 at SMU Cox School of Business. The panelists will be Travis Dillon, SVP Marketing for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club, Jennifer Haworth, EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at Globe Life; and Charley Green, Co-Founder, BreakAway Sports Marketing. The discussion will be moderated by Lee Hornick, MASB Membership Director and No. 1 sports fan.
Dillon joined the Texas Rangers as Vice President, Marketing in September 2018 and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Marketing in January 2023. He leads the marketing team responsible for brand and creative strategy, fan insights, media buying, social media, influencer marketing, digital marketing, content, brand identity/design, multicultural marketing, experiential/event marketing, fan engagement and fan growth. He joined the Rangers after 13 years with The Marketing Arm. Prior to this, he worked at TracyLocke, Jack Morton and Ogilvy. He started his career at Country Music Television as a Special Projects Manager.
Haworth is Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Globe Life, where she has been since 1997. She oversees all marketing operations and corporate travel and events for the Globe Life enterprise and is responsible for leading overall marketing and brand strategy, including those strategies for its individual subsidiaries. She oversees Sports Marketing operations in partnership with the Texas Rangers and the naming rights of Globe Life Field, the Dallas Cowboys, the Atlanta Braves and most recently the Los Angeles Lakers. She serves on the Texas Rangers Foundation Advisory Board, the Dallas Regional Chamber Board of Directors, and as Board Chairman of Meals on Wheels Collin County.
Green founded BreakAway Sports Marketing with Ray Mallouk in 2001. With more than 26 years of sports marketing and public relations experience, Charley has managed initiatives for clients including Sears, Werner Ladder, The V Foundation, Dasani Water, Dr Pepper and ADT Security Services. He has worked with many properties including the NCAA, Bowl Championship Series/College Football Playoff, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL US Soccer and ESPN.
