The DePaul University – Driehaus School of Business Department of Marketing has joined the Marketing Accountability Standards Board and is encouraging all of its faculty to participate. With more than 300 undergraduate majors and graduate programs, DePaul is the largest private university whose faculty members’ priority is teaching. Many of its professors work in Chicago as consultants, researchers and entrepreneurs, incorporating their experiences in the classroom. Now they will be able to share their work on MASB projects and special initiatives.

“After hosting MASB’s Summer Summit, the faculty of DePaul’s Department of Marketing is excited to join MASB and the movement for marketing accountability,” said Sue Fogel, Ph.D., Chair of the Department of Marketing. “Marketing education needs to teach students to demonstrate the value of marketing and strong brands. The work of MASB is more important than ever in the current age of uncertainty, helping marketers to show the impact of their actions on the bottom line.”
Fogel presented an overview of DePaul and the Department of Marketing, which includes both undergrad and graduate studies, and Dr. Mark Frigo, Professor and Director Emeritus of DePaul’s Center for Strategy, Execution and Valuation, co-presented CFO/CMO: Making the Connection on Strategic Risk Assessment.
“We had an outstanding meeting of the minds at DePaul this summer,” noted MASB CEO Joanna Seddon, “and their enthusiasm for and innovative thinking on marketing’s connection to financial return are exceptional. We’re looking forward to their contributions on our projects.”
