MASB Director since 2012, Karen Ebben is the Director, Global Advertising & Marketing Effectiveness, at General Motors, where she is responsible for measuring brand health and marketing effectiveness. She joined GM in 1976 and helped shape the corporation’s marketing efforts. Her successful track record at GM also includes contributions to the sales, advertising, product planning, and strategic business functions of the firm.
Karen’s work has received recognition as evidenced by awards from Cannes (Finalist), Effie (Bronze), and AME (Gold). She is a frequent speaker at key marketing conferences (AAF, ARF, DMA, Ad:Tech) and is a college guest lecturer as well. She is on the Advisory Board of the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute and previously has served as Chair of the Board of Governors of DMA’s Echo Academy. She holds an MBA from Cleveland State University and a BS in management from Oakland University.
