Google AI Research Head to Examine Brand Trust and Safety | MASB Winter Summit

The use of artificial intelligence in marketing is evolving rapidly, and Reena Jana, Head of AI Research & Standards, Trust and Safety at Google, is helping get businesses up to speed. “Users now don’t need to hear over and over again that AI makes mistakes or that it’s risky,” she says, “they actually want more information on how to use it.”

At MASB Winter Summit 2026Feb. 18-19 on Zoom, Jana will present, Scaling Brand Safety with Standards: Why Responsible AI Matters for Marketers, sharing why and how marketing leaders should pay attention to international safety standards for AI, to build brand trust, to make informed decisions on technical tools, and guide the responsible development of content and campaigns.

Jana leads AI standards research & development for Trust and Safety at Google. Her team focuses on international best practices for building advanced AI products, AI governance and human-centered UX for AI. She serves on the US Telecommunications Training Institute’s Board of Directors, as co-chair of the Advertising Council’s Emerging Media and Tech Committee, on the World Economic Forum’s Frontier MINDS Impact Council, and on Partnership on AI’s Enterprise Steering Committee. She is also a supporter of the arts, on the Board of the Baxter Street Camera Club of New York, and a founding member of Gold House’s Creative Patrons Circle.
