“MASB’s work strengthens how organizations measure and communicate intangible value with neutrality and comparability,” said Waller. “I joined to advance standards that improve accountability for brand value and risk so boards, investors, lenders, and insurers can allocate capital more responsibly in an economy increasingly driven by intangibles.”

“We are pleased to welcome Talaya, a respected executive in the field of personal brand valuation, to our advisory council,” reacted MASB Executive Director Frank Findley. “Her expertise in measuring and managing the value of corporate executives and other representatives will further strengthen MASB’s efforts to advance rigorous, accountable marketing standards for brand valuation. We applaud her pioneering work on key person risk management and encourage marketers to consider this when conducting their annual intangible valuations.”

Talaya previously founded Waller & Company, a data-driven personal branding consultancy that advised leaders and institutions including Amazon, the United Nations, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. A global educator and thought leader, she has delivered lectures on personal branding across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, including as a lecturer with Duke Corporate Education and guest speaker to MBA audiences in Poland, Australia, Switzerland, Chile, South Korea, and South Africa.

Dr. Waller is the author of Personal Brand Management: Marketing Human Value (2020), the first textbook of its kind, held in over 300 university libraries, including Yale, Oxford, and MIT.
