The Marketing Accountability Standards Board has brought on Lee Hornick to be Director of Membership. His job will be to demonstrate to marketer companies the many benefits of participating in MASB’s extraordinary work on marketing metric certification, sponsorship accountability, digital targeting accuracy and numerous other projects.
“I look forward to working with the MASB leadership team to grow and improve the value of becoming a member,” Hornick commented. “My background as past president of the International Association of Business Communicators in New York and as a program director at the Conference Board producing marketing and branding events will add value to my role.”
Hornick may be new to MASB, but he is no stranger to MASB CEO Joanna Seddon. “I’ve known and worked with Lee for something like 20 years. He’s a complete pro at making things happen – from bringing in members, to organizing events and pulling in sponsors. As Director of Sponsorships for the Marketing Hall of Fame, he has done an outstanding job.”
Hornick has 27 years of experience producing corporate communication, marketing and branding conferences and event sponsorship programs for the Conference Board in North America, Europe and Asia. He also founded Business Communications Worldwide, a business conference and sponsorship consultancy, and served as a senior corporate communication executive with the J.C. Penney Company in their New York headquarters. He is a past president of New York IABC (International Association of Business Communicators), regional director for IABC U.S. District 1, and board member of the IABC Research Foundation, which made him a Fellow. He has served on the executive board of the American Marketing Association–New York and currently is Sponsorship Director for the Marketing Hall of Fame.
