MASB Director (2009–2014) and MASB Advisory Council member (2014), Craig Gugel is President/CEO and Chief Research Officer of Gugelplex TV, Inc. Previously he was Chief Research Officer for Merkle, Inc./LogicLab and has served as Senior Vice President, Media Analytics, for the Advertising Research Foundation. Prior to joining the ARF, Craig was President of North America for the Telmar Group, Inc., EVP Worldwide Analytics & Strategy at Nielsen-IMS, and EVP Director of Strategic Insights at Optimedia International.
Craig is an adjunct assistant professor in the Advertising & Marketing Communications Department at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. He has served on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Advertising Research, as Chairman of the Media Research Committee for the American Association of Advertising Agencies, and as a member of the ARF Board of Directors.
He holds a BA in communications studies from the University of Windsor in Ontario, a BS in international trade and marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology, and an MA in television journalism studies from the State University of New York Empire State College. He is currently pursuing an MA degree in sociology at Arizona State University.
Craig co-leads the MASB Book Project team.
